Pyxicephalus adspersus are a large bullfrog species that can reachhugesizes in adulthood. These are true bullfrogs and willenjoy an enclosure with a significant aquaticportion (about 1/3 of the tank). If their environment is too dry, Pixie frogs will tend to bury themselves in their substrate to retain moisture.

Pixie frogs have big appetites and are very active hunters, enjoying a wide diet of insects and the occasional rodent once they reach appropriate size.
