ThisAponogeton species has see through, fake looking leaves with a bubbly/bullate texture. Like most Aponogeton, after flowering it will begin to enter dormancy; once the leaves all die back the bulb should be removed and kept in damp (but not sopping!) sphagnum moss at cooler temperatures for 1-3 months. Upon being returned to water,Aponogeton can grow new leaves “miraculously” fast, hence their common name of ‘Miracle Bulbs’.
