Spiny-tailed iguanasare native to hot and dry areas of Mexico and Central America. They can make great pets or display animals. This is a smaller species of iguana but as with all iguuanas, we do consider them as advanced keeping and for experienced keepers only. This species will have a maximum size of 3ft and requires a lot of room to roams and bask. They have a mostly herbivorous diet with a small amount of insect protein, mostly when they are young. It is very important to provide a varied diet for this species.
