Feeding Guidelines:

For Lizards: Coat the mealworms with a calcium supplement prior to feeding. Place Zoo Med canned mealworms in a shallow dish or use feeding tongs for easy handling. Provide an amount suitable for the specific animal.

For Aquatic Turtles: Offer only what they can eat within 5 minutes. Be sure to remove and dispose of any leftover food.

Not recommended for hatchling lizards or tiny amphibians (2″ or smaller).

Remove any uneaten mealworms after 24 hours to maintain cleanliness.

Store in a refrigerator after opening and consume within 7 days.

Zoo Med Can O’ Worms are made using an innovative cooking process called retorting. Mealworms are canned live and are cooked in the can to lock in flavour, maintain freshness and preserve nutritional value. The cooking process also softens the exoskeleton by breaking down collagen proteins for easier digestion for your pet. The mealworms are packaged in their own natural juices and contain no artificial flavors or colors. Each 1.2 ounce (3.5 grams) can contains approximately 300 delicious worms.
